Review Articles

Review articles should be suitably written for publication, with associated references using the Vancouver referencing style. Use the forms found at the bottom of this page.

Please follow the review article submission format exactly as it is found in the template, but provide your own headings. Each report should be no more than 1500 words.* The title, author, headings, and references do not count as part of the word total.

Content included must be scientifically correct, referenced, and supported by current literature and clinical practice. A specialist in the field (e.g. registrar and above) should have reviewed the article to ensure validity of the content. Please get him/her to certify that by signing the “Specialist Review” form.

Review articles produced as part of Special Study Modules (SSM) are acceptable for submission. Please ensure the content included is supported by up-to-date literature.

Make sure to sign and submit the permissions form attached to the same email as your case report and image file.

*Supporting photos, images, graphs, or charts are encouraged, adherent to the following instructions:

-No more than 5 figures in the report
Common format (JPEG, PNG, or TIFF)
No smaller than 400 x 300 pixels, though we ask that you submit the largest file size you have available
Clearly labelled with a brief description of the image/table/etc
